Ajay Krishnan Malayalam film Producer Commits Suicide


Malayalam film producer Ajay Krishnan committed suicide at his residence in Thirumullavaram, Kollam (Kerala) on Saturday. He was reportedly dejected over how his debut film as a producer, Avarude Ravukal, had shaped up.


According to reports, the 29-year-old producer took his life by hanging himself at his residence after being gripped by financial constraints.Ajay’s parents Radhkrishnan and Jayakumari were at home during the time of the incident.
‘Avarude Ravukal’ starring Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan, Aju Varghese, Vinay Fort, Honey Rose, Lena and others - under the banner Ajay Entertainment was his debut film as a producer. However, he was depressed after watching the preview of the film in Kochi.

He was concerned about the success of the film at the box office because he had invested Rs 4 crore and was facing financial crises. Apparently, he was in a dejected state for the past few days and had also shared his concerns with his parents. Radhakrishnan Pillai and Jayakumari, were at home at the time of the incident. Krishnan had earlier essayed several small roles in TV serials and movies, including in the Prithviraj-starrer Memories.
